Yesterday, Bush signed a bill outlawing partial-birth abortion. From what the article says, partial-birth abortion is letting the baby/fetus partially come out from a woman's womb, and then killing it in the birth process. This is hideous and disgusting and foul and inhumane and horrible and revolting and vomit-inducing and any other adjective that escapes my horror-ridden brain at this moment in time. %%diary-beatpoetgrrl%% says that there is no such thing as partial-birth abortion, and I hope and pray to any power or being that is up there that this is true. I feel so sickened right now, reading this article. And you know what? I think Bush might have actually done something right for once, by outlawing partial-birth abortion. What he said to accompany it was wrong: "Today at last the American people and our government have confronted the violence and come to the defense of the innocent child." Well, maybe one group of children. But what about the rest of them? I just don't understand how people can sink to such low levels. But I'm so surprised at myself, and at Bush, because I think he did something right for once. Maybe I don't understand the whole issue, but there's my opinion, based on my knowledge of the situation. Please don't attack me, anyone who is reading this, because of my views. This stuff here is mine, unless otherwise stated. That's why it has my name on it. Thank you. |
